Dad’s Smoked Sweet BBQ Rub

If you know me, than you know I am completely obsessed with grilling. So when it come to BBQ I like to put my own spin on pretty much everything. If you love to BBQ you know that prep is one of the most important steps, and the rub or seasoning you decide to use guides the flavor of the entire meal. This is one of my simple and delicious BBQ rubs, great for chicken, pork or steak… Side note: this rub is amazing on Rotisserie chicken. It’s… Rotisserious.

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 oz sea salt

  • .75 oz smoked sweet paprika

  • .75 oz turbinado sugar

  • .30 oz minced onion

  • .50 oz toasted onion powder

  • .25 oz minced garlic

  • .50 oz ground black pepper

  • .25 oz mustard powder

  • .10 oz crushed red chili flakes

  • .10 oz parsley

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Make sure you have an accurate scale with which to measure out your ingredients.

  2. Measure out each ingredient and combine in either a locking container or a ziplock bag

  3. Once all the ingredients have been combined then seal your container and mix everything together vigorously.

  4. Season your favorite cut of meat or vegetables and enjoy!
